Luke is always go, go, go. Every now and then we'll catch him really concentrating on one thing, like reading a book in the hallway or cooking at his play kitchen but more often than not it's one toy to the next to the next. He still loves to play with Bama (the dog) and often prefers to give her his food instead of eating it himself. Loves to smile, especially his "funny face" smile. He loves to play with his cousins and just tries to keep up with them. Still loves to be outside. B found him a big wheel/tricycle and it's hard to get him off of it. We're up to about 75-80 words- favorites are doggy, daddy, mama, up I go, poop, pic (pickle), bike, truck, bus, park and walk. It seems like we're getting more and more each day, usually several at a time. It's a lot easier having him says words and that voice is just so darn cute! Speaking of poop... He is starting to seem more and more interested in the bathroom, toilet, poop, etc. So B bought the insert today. We'll see how this goes! When I try to get him to say "flower" he says "mama". He LOVES to help water the garden and flowers and has thrown a fit if we didn't water when he thought we were going to. We took him to the pool tonight before bath time. He's still trying to get used to it and prefers to just watch the other kids. What usually happens is we end up needing to leave by the time he gets in and starts to play. I did get him to kick in his floaty which was fun! No and nope is a common word these days. It usually means "no" but sometimes it's just because he likes to say it. We've had a few fits lately with the body hitting the floor and the hands hitting the ground. It sad and funny at the same time. It usually ends with a long cuddle, almost as if he's saying sorry. Fortunately, he stills like to cuddle a lot, especially right before bed when we "rock". He starting to dance more. I feel like he can really feel the beat! He got a set of small of nursery rhyme board books for his first birthday and is just now getting into them. I'll read/sing them quickly to see him move back and forth and really get into it. It's hard to believe that Luke is almost 2 years old. He is SUCH a good little guy. How very blessed we are!
