30 weeks done!

Hey there-- Sorry (again) that it's been awhile since this was updated.

We had our 30-week appointment this morning. Baby A is doing great and had a heartbeat of 150. My tummy is measuring exactly how it should be so he should be on target for weight too-- not too big or too small. (emphasis on the too BIG).

Bobby and I took a trip to Florida two weekends ago to get away one last time before Baby A comes. We had a great time. All we wanted was rest and relaxation and that's exactly what we got. The weather was perfect and our friend's Mike and Laur were so generous to let us use their condo while we were there. The trip couldn't have been better and couldn't have come at a better time. So, no more travelling for me. To be honest, I think that we're both excited about that. It'll be nice to be home and either work on the house, hang out with family and friends or do nothing!!

We've been doing some major work on the outside of the house. Well, I'll use the term "we" loosely... My Mom, Dad and I planted some shrubs, flowers and filled some pots for the front yard. All that's left is to put a new layer of mulch down, then the front is done (for this year). The backyard is in the middle of it's transformation! By Friday we will have a large garden, area for a swingset, a "shaped yard" instead of a sort-of rectangle. The outside of the yard is being filled with river rock and we bought a couple of trees and some bushes to start the landscaping. And, we figured out how to fix the grass. The workers are taking the "good grass" from the area that is now rock and placing it where Bobby was trying to grow grass. So, instead of a dirty mess, it's all green, grass and growing! What a concept... for this yard! So, long story, but the outside is going to look GREAT before Baby A gets here. We're both really excited to walk out on the patio and not see an overwhelming mess.

My sister, Ann, and sister-in-law, Elise, threw me an amazing shower this past weekend. The food was fantastic and everything was so thoughtful. It was fun to have people together from different parts of my life-- grade school, middle school, high school, work, family friends, family. It was great! We were showered with so many amazing, thoughtful gifts again and Baby A is beyond set now. How lucky we are to have so many people that care about us. I can't wait for him to meet everyone!!!

I made my first turkey on Sunday for my Dad's birthday. Thank goodness it was done early because about 10 minutes after the guests came, our power went out! The first time that's ever happened. Everything was ready but the gravy. So, my Mom and Bobby went to the grill to make that. Thank goodness it's not winter because it would have been a little difficult to see. Oh, and the turkey turned out great. I'm no longer afraid of making one!

Baby A's crib was delivered and set-up today. I can't wait to see it and start to put his room together!! Pictures will be posted when done. :)
